Sometimes The Best Birthday Gifts Are Found Online

When I tell people that I’m a Birthday planner, their reaction is usually along the lines of “what is that?” followed by something in the theme of “coolest job ever.” In many ways, I agree with them. I mean, if I hated it, I’d be doing something else, right? But really, it is a very cool job. Wedding planners are part of a happy event too, but there’s so much stress associated with a wedding; in theory, everyone only gets one chance, so if something messes up, it can be catastrophic. Birthdays are fun gatherings and, while some of my clients can be wound a little tight, there’s generally less pressure for everything to be absolutely perfect. Birthday Gifts are sometimes a challenge, especially when the parents or spouse seem determined to avoid clichés, but I often take a page from my wedding planner colleagues in this case and suggest that Birthday flowers might be appreciated as a unique and inspirational gift.

As a matter of fact, just as in a wedding ceremony, colorful floral arrangements are an important part of most of my birthday parties. Balloons are great, but you need something else to make any party extra special and it’s tough to beat the look and smell of fresh flowers. I usually buy my Flowers on Line; I’m usually in a rush and even the most well-heeled customers are still price conscious, so using 1-800flowers.com gives me great selection, fast ordering, same day delivery and good prices. When I’ve got a client who’s freaking out about finding unique and cool Birthday Gifts, I often tell them to check this site as well. If you’re planning a birthday celebration for a special someone and you don’t want to bring in a planner, I am willing to dole out some advice after six years in the trenches. Rent a hall if you can- trust me, it’s a lot easier to sweep up one big, empty room than it is to try vacuuming all the cake crumbs from between all your sofa cushions. Order your cake at least a week in advance. And make sure to make it colorful with lots of balloons, Birthday flowers and streamers.
