Handmade hats are the perfect accessory for any outfit.  They allow you to personalize your signature style and are a bold and contemporary addition to any ensemble.  And I’m not talking about those winter beanies your grandmother used to knit you for Christmas every year—though hipsters seemed to love them.  You can find handmade hats of all colors, shapes, and sizes if you know where to look.

Think of accessorizing you head with a hat as you would accessorizing your ears (or lips, or nostrils) with rings.  Finding the perfect hat is a hard thing to do.  You don’t want to go too bold and overpower your clothes but you don’t want to go too understated and miss an opportunity.  Once you find the perfect hat style for your head, don’t be afraid to mix up the colors of fabric choices—shape and style are the most important elements.  And if your perfect hat happens to be handmade and earth-friendly, so much the better!
